I've tried different brands of contacts and find that the B&L Soflens 38 work best for me. I've been using the B&L Soflens 38 for about 20 years, at which time it was known as Sequence II. Many other brands, even those claiming to have a higher water content than the B&Ls, dry my eyes out after a few hours of wear. The B&Ls are tinted slightly, so they are easy to locate if you happen to drop one in the sink. I wear them for 12-16 hours a day, during which time they remain comfortable. These are 2 week disposables, but I've gone 6 or more weeks on the same pair. For the first 2-4 weeks, vision is perfect, but after that, vision starts to slowly deteriorate, which means it's time to replace the old lenses with a fresh pair. These contacts are very thin and flexible, which makes them comfortable, but they dry quickly when removed from storage case with saline solution, so you need to go from case to your eye fairly quickly. I recall I used to tear the lenses from mishandling, but after some practice you get used to handling them. I highly recommend the B&L Soflens 38.

I bought the Softlens 38 on advice of my eye doctor, because I was curious about different brands. 3 out of 6 lenses folded together on themselves on removal, and stuck together. I'm an experienced lens wearer and have NEVER had a lens tear or stick together in 22 years. No amount of soaking would "unstick" them, and the lenses tore if I tried to peel them apart. That's money down the drain, as far as I'm concerned, because there is no way to get a refund on the torn lenses. I'm going to back to my old brand, as I've never had issues with any of their lenses.

Comments about SofLens 38 (Optima FW):

These truly suck. They're some generic brand where the lenses go super dry really quickly which makes it so uncomfortable when you blink. My eyes would get irritated and it felt like I had a piece of sharp plastic in my eyes. I did the mistake of ordering 6 boxes so I was obligated to wear these for an extended period of time. Will never buy these contacts EVER again. You are compromising quality with the low price. Save yourself some drama and buy better lenses which are a bit more pricier. It's worth the investment.

Like other reviews said, these contacts are really sticky. They stick to each other and are very difficult to pull apart without ripping. I decided to give them a go because of the low low price but regretted it when I found out how difficult they are to use. Now I'm a little more used to them and have a strategy as to putting them in without getting them stuck together.

I wear contacts daily and have been doing so for the past thirteen years with a variety of brands. This is the first brand that has irritated my eyes to the point of constant watering and having to take the contacts out. I definitely will not be purchasing this brand again.

I purchased these to try a thinner contact but found from the moment i tried to put them in (they kept folding over so took me about 10min to get in) i was in pain. I could only wear for a max of 2hrs before the sore eyes became too much. I have thrown the rest away... never again

I had the worst idea to switch from my regular Acuvue 2 lenses to these, thinking they would be better... They are the worst! Very difficult to put in and to take out, they fold right away and it is impossible to unfold them, they are garbage! As I am very happy with this retailer overall, I strongly recommend they remove these contacts from their line of products.
