The Acuvue Oasys lenses are the most comfortable lenses I've tried. I have been wearing contacts for a little over a year now, so I'm fairly new to the game. My eye doctor started me off with Air Optix Aqua, and after going through a box of those lenses, I was pretty fed up. They were thick, dried up easily and gave me irritation when I was on the computer. I have a desk job, so while I'm at work, I am ALWAYS on the computer. I went back to my doctor and then tried the Biofinity lenses. Definitely an improvement, but still gave me a horrible, dry gritty feeling, and the clarity was AWFUL! I had to squint while they were in, which defeats the whole point of contacts! Then I tried the CooperVision ProClear Compatibles. These were the best out of the bunch, and my vision was actually better than 20/20 with these, but they would still get very dry on me. I was reluctant to try the Oasys because they are a 2-week replacement lens but they are great. The clarity is good, it feels like NOTHING going in your eye which is amazing, as the Air Optix had a big "edge" you could feel. I wear these ALL day (16+ hours) and have occasionally worn them overnight with no issues. GREAT lenses and definitely the best I've tried so far!

Ordering and delivery service has been just great! Last batch of lenses, however, were somewhat unreliable as far as wearing comfort. A few were uncomfortable right out of the package. I had to use a gentle soap to clean off the residue that was causing discomfort. One or two I had to throw away immediately.

    Comments about Acuvue Oasys:

I insert my piggy back lenses (Acuvue Oasis) first thing in the morning and wear them under my hard contact lenses to help with discomfort. I don't remove them until just before I go to bed. So I'm wearing them for 12 hours plus 7 days a week. I found that with my last batch of contact lenses I purchased I found that at least 1 out of every 2 lenses to be uncomfortable with no similarity to which eye I wore them in.

                      Comments about Acuvue Oasys:

I've been wearing contact lenses since the time when soft contact lenses first came out and the debate for most was whether to move away from the hard shells or not. I have a slight astigmatism, and my optometrist had strong recommended that I wear lenses to compensate for it.

Until trying to move to Accuvue's Oasys, I'd been a very loyal wearer of the Accuvue2 brand. They were comfortable and effective.

I definitely am not enjoying my experience with Oasys. Putting them in is tricky, as the lenses are thin and seem quite fragile to the touch. I haven't torn one yet, so they must be stronger than they seem, but they easily flip over and are generally annoying to handle.

Worst of all, though, is that they're dry. They're amazingly dry. They go *in* dry, which is fascinating to me. If I don't add some of the saline solution to the contact when I put it into my eye, it refuses to move on the eye at all. For those without an astigmatism, this might be okay - preferable, even, as it means the contact stays firmly in place and doesn't slip around. For those with an astigmatism, however, it means the contact has a lot of trouble adjusting on the eye to get to the right shape and orientation. I find the only way around this is to liberally fill the contact with saline solution *before* it goes into the eye.

The dryness also becomes a factor when they've been in for more than about eight hours. They start to get itchy and uncomfortable.

All in all, these are definitely not good replacements for what I'd had before. I had hoped to be able to stick with Accuvue since the old brand was so comfortable, but it looks like I've got to try out some other companies.
